Rod Laver A Memoir

Rod Laver A Memoir is the autobiography of legendary Australian Tennis player Rod Laver. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Rockhampton Queensland, began playing in 1956 which would last for 20 years as he go on the achieve more than 200 career titles including 2 Grand Slams in 1962 and 1969, joining the pro circuit, having a stroke in 1998 which he eventually recovered, his wife of 46 years Mary who sadly passed away last year and many others. It is a BRILLIANT book with great stories told by Rod which he talks about the great players and matches he was involved in and i enjoyed it very much which it's a great insight, warm and a fascinating story of a great Australian sporting icon. Rod Laver lives in America now but he is still fondly remembered in the history of Australian sports and he has been back recently for the signings of this book. It is a must for any Australian sports fans and I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
