Reflections-50 Heavy Metal Years Of Music Judas Priest

This is the new compilation CD by legendary British heavy metal band Judas Priest and it has live recordings from 1978-2008 including Green Manalishi as well as studio tracks from the 70's 80's and 90's and 2018 song Never The Heroes which the CD I am reviewing is the single CD edition of the compilation as there is an Red Vinyl version as well. It is FANTASTIC and ROCKIN with great songs including the live ones which they sound great and ROCKIN and is well worth listening too. The band with founding member Ian Hill and long time member Rob Halford as well as Glenn Tipton since 1974 are still touring which they had done some US dates when it was postponed due to Richie Faulkner's health scare and they will be touring Europe next year. This is an must for Judas Priest fans and I give it 4 and an half stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.

I Just Don't Know What To Do with Myself Colin Hay

This is the new album by former Men At Work singer and songwriter Colin Hay and the tracks on the album are covers of classics songs including the title track which was a cover of the Dusty Springfield 1964 hit as well as the Beatles, The Kinks, Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Faces and many others which has personal connections with Colin and it was recorded at home during quaratine . It is FANTASTIC with FANTASTIC songs with great singing by Colin who is sounding great as ever and has got shows coming up in the USA in November and December as well as March and April 2022 also in the USA. I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which I am sure you will be impressed.

Tattoo You the Rolling Stones

It's 40 years ago this year when the Rolling Stones released the album Tattoo You which featured 4 hit singles Start Me Up, Waiting On A Friend, Little L&T and Hang Fire and among the musicians besides from the Stones who played on the tracks were Nicky Hopkins, Billy Preston and ex Rolling Stone Mick Taylor and Sonny Rollins. The album went to number 2 in the UK and number 1 in the USA and Australia and it is now being re-issued again as it's 40 years since it came out which I am reviewing the double CD edition. On the double CD it has the original tracks that was on the album 40 years ago and on the second CD which has lost and found rarities of songs that were recorded from 1972 up to the late 70's including version of Drift Away and Shame Shame Shame as well as an early version of Start Me up. Nitram

This afternoon I went to the Elizabeth Theatre in the city to see the Australian movie Nitram. Nitram (Caleb Landry Jones) lives with his parents (Judy Davis and Anthony LaPaglia) who is living a life of Isolation and frustration gets friendly with a lady named Helen (Essie Davis) which he lives with her and is tragicallly killed in a car crash. His anger and lonliness grows and slowly descends into a nightmare that would lead into one of the horrific acts in Australian history. It's Gripping, Fantastic and Brilliant with top and Brilliant acting by Caleb Landry Jones, Judy Davis, Anthony LaPaglia, Essie Davis and Sean Keenan. It is directed by Justin Kurzel who also produced with SHaun Grant who did the screenplay, Virigna Whitwell and Nick Balzias and it is of the finest Australian movies that has been made this year which it is well worth seeing. This is the autobiography of the first female roadie and in this book Tana talks about her upbringing in Queensland and Victoria, her diffcult family life, running away from home, started helping an local band called Fox moving equipment, working with AC/DC , going to the UK and the USA where she worked with the big names of rock and roll like the Who, Status Quo, Suzi Quatro, Elton John, Deep Purple and many others, giving birth to her son and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME, Impressive and very entertaining stories by Tana who is an pioneer as she paved the way for other females behind the scene ans is based in Los Angeles these days. This is an must for Australian rock and roll fans and I give it 5 stars which it is still in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Cliff Richard Live Here and Now

In 2006 legendary British singer Cliff Richard had an album out called Two's Company which was an part studio album of duets and part compilation and among the performers were Lulu, Barry Gibb, Elton John and Dionne Warwick and the album went to number 8 in the UK and did an tour in the UK and Ireland that year which one of those shows was at Wembley. The show at Wembeley is on DVD and he performs an mixture of his classic hits as well as favourites, ballads and tracks from the Two's Company album as well as an great back up band as well as the dancers. It is AWESOME, FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with great songs and an FANTASTIC performance by a man who has been on the music scene since 1958 which he is still going strong as his show I Can't Believe He's 80 show will be shown in Cinemas next month in Australia and NZ and England on the 27th of this month and starts his British tour tonight. This is the memoir of Australian drummer from Dig Richards and the R'Jays, The Rajahs and The Mighty Guys Leon Isackson and in this book he talks about performing in Vietnam in 1965 with Lucky Starr and 1966 with his band the Rajahs as well as Sheryl Blake and Lucky Starr and 1968 with Eden Kane, Maggie Jordrell and the Sullivan Sisters, performing for the troops as well as the culture, mentioning other Australian performers working in Vietnam including the Delltones, Dig Richards and Johnny O'Keefe and many others. This afternoon I went to the city at the Elizabeth Cinema where I saw the documentary Songs For While I'm Away which it's about Phil Lynott musician, singer and songwriter of the legendary rock band Thin Lizzy. Roy Orbison and Friends tribute show at the Newnham Hotel

  Saturday October 2nd I went to the Newnham Hotel at Mt Gravatt to see the Roy Orbison and Friends tribute show with Mike Winkworth who is an local performer as it was my first time seeing him live and it was my first time in 4 months since Cooly Rocks On that I went to a gig. I caught the bus from Carindale to Mt Gravatt, went to the Newnham Hotel, did the check in, showed the lady the ticket on my phone, went to table 3, rang home, ordered my meal and drank some of the Coke Zero. Had Steak, Chips and Salad for dinner, drank Coke Zero, and saw guitarist Russell Bayne and Heidi who I had not seen since Cooly Rocks On 2019.The show started before 7.30pm with Mike coming in black gear and an tie and sunnies which in the first set doing the Roy Orbison songs mainly 60's as well Ooby Dooby in 1956 and California Blue in 1989 as well as saying nearly 20 wives jokingley reffering to the songs he peformed which made the audiences laughed and there was an interval which I saw Russ...
