This is the autobiography of guitarist and songwriter as well as member of the legendary American rock band the Doors Robby Krieger and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Southern California, started taking trumpet lessons as well as playing bass drum, started strumming guitar at age 12, played in bands The Back Bay Chamber Pot Terriers, The Psychedelic Rangers and the Clouds, joining the Doors who would go on to great success with rock classics incuding Light My Fire, Hello I Love You, Touch me, Love Her Madly and many others as well as classic albums including the self titled album,the Soft Parade, LA Woman etc, encounters with Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Joan Baez and Van Morrison, the passing of Jim Morrison, his drug problems, his cancer scare and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME,FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT stories as well as well as impressive and very entertaining as well as an FANTASTIC read which it is well worth reading. Robby is the 3rd member of the Doors to write his life story which drummer John Densmore wrote his in the 90's as well as 2 more since then and Ray Manzarek wrote his in 1998. Robby is still performing which he has some American shows coming up including the Whiskey Au Go Go in Los Angeles in December as well as the Doors Live At the Bowl 68 will be shown in cinemas next month. This is an must for 60's music fans as well as Doors fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
