Let It Be by the Beatles

This is the remastered album of the Beatles 1970 album Let It Be which I am reviewing the double CD Edition. The songs on the album were recorded from February 1968, January 1969 and January and April 1970 at Abbey Road and Apple Studio which came at the time when the Beatles were rehearsing at Twickenham for what was going to be an show doing new songs but there was issues including George Harrison leaving temporaily but comes back and did the work at Apple Studios for the remaining of January 1969 along with the filming as the Rooftop Concert on January 30th. The album was not released until 1970 on May 8th which went to number 1 in the USA, UK and Australia and Phil Spector produced it and from the album had hit singles the title track Let It Back and The Long and Winding Road as well as other tracks were the 2 George Harrison songs I me Mine and For You Blue as well as Dig It written by the group and Maggie Mae an tradional song and the rest were Lennon McCartney songs including the album version of Get Back. In the double CD edition which the first CD has the original tracks and on the second CD it has outake highlights which there is different takes of the tracks including the Rooftop performance of Don't Let Me Down and the unreleased Glyn John Mix of Across the Universe. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB and FANTASTIC songs which still sound great today and holds up very well after all these years. The reissued version of the album went to number 2 in the UK and Australia and number 5 in the USA and there is an booklet which Sir Paul McCartney does the foreword, Giles Martin who is an producer as well as son of Beatles producer Sir George Martin did the introduction and Kevin Howlett did the liner notes. It is amazing that considering the Beatles broke up 52 years ago their music still gets played to this day as well as the interest in the Beatles as well as the appreciation is still there after all these years and with the release of the Get Back which was directed by Peter Jackson which has footage never been seen before it is just wonderful there is stuff of the Beatles out there still. This is an must for Beatles fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed and impressed.
