The Newcastle Song by Bob Hudson

In 1974 Australian singer Bob Hudson who had played in Electric Jug Band and Teen Angels as well as touring with the Rock and Roll Refugees released the album The Newcastle Song which went to number 6 in Australia and the title track was the number 1 hit in Australia in 1975 which was his only hit even though he had an few more singles but nothing happened chart wise and he wrote hits for Maureen Elkner in 1975 with Rak Off Normie and in 1976 Girls In Our Town for Margaret Roadknight. The album is now out on CD which besides from the original tracks it has 3 bonus tracks which included Rak Off Normie by Maureen Elkner and it is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great songs which has stood the test of time and just an great today as it did back then. Bob is still around and this is an must for Australian music fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
