the Rolling Stones Experience @ Easts leagues Club





Last Saturday night I went to Easts leagues Club in Coorparoo to see the tribute the Rolling Stones Experience which it was my first time seeing this band and i had not seen an show @ Easts since January 29th this year where i saw an Bee Gee Tribute show. The show started at 8pm with the band coming on stage which they did the first set with Stones classics from the 60's, 70's and 80's including Start Me Up, Let's spend the Night Together, Jumpin Jack Flash and others as well as me going on the dance floor towards the end of the 1st set. there was an interval which i bought an bottle of water and check my mobile including Facebook. The second set had them doing more of the stones Classics of the 60's, 70's, 80's and an song from the 90's you got me Rocking and everyone was having an great time on the dance floor including myself as well as singing along to the great songs which still endures after more than 45 years. the show finished around 10.30pm which the band were FANTASTIC and the lead singer John did an great Mick Jagger doing the movements and singing. I had an FANTASTIC time and I enjoyed seeing this band which I look forward to seeing them again in the future. i saw Joanne,Lorraine and Brian after the night before and they had an great time themselves and Dad picked me @ 10.45pm to go home.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
