APIA Good Times Show @ QPAC Concert Hall

On May 14th I went to the QPAC Concert Hall to see the APIA Good Times which it's my first time seeing this show as it has been going for 2 years and this year's APIA Good Times show had Joe Camilleri(Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons/The Black Sorrows), Kate Cebrano, Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock. I caught the bus from Cannon Hill to South Bank, went to Nandoos where I had chicken and chips for dinner, drank Coke Zero, went to New Zealand Ice Cream shop where I had an Sundae for desert, walk to QPAC, had a photo taken, bought a program and CD's by Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock and Kate Cebrano, went inside, toom some photos and waited. The show started @ about 8pm which they showed film clip of the performed being photographed as well as being interviewed and then Joe Camilleri came on which he did a set of Black Sorrows songs as well as Jo jo Zep and the Falcons which for a few songs ex Falcons member Wilber Wilde came to perform with Joe, then Kate Cebrano on stage which she performed an number of her songs including her big one Bedroom Eyes and there was an interval which Joe and Kate came out to sign stuff which I got the program signed and photos with Joe and Kate and also went back inside. The second set started with Brian Cadd coming on stage performing his songs from the Bootleg Family Band, The Groop and solo hits as well as doing the 2 classic Axiom songs with Glenn Shorrock when he came on stage, then Glenn performed on his own which he did a mixture of the Twilights and Little River Band songs and then Joe,Kate,Brian and Wilbur came on stage which they did the big songs and also they finished the show with the classic Spectrum song I'll Be Gone. The show finished @ 11pm which afterwards Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock came to sign stuff which i got the Cd signed as well as getting photos with them, walk to the bus stop, caught bus, got off at Cannon Hill and Dad picked me up to go home which i went to bed @ 11.59pm. it was an AWESOME show which everyone had a great time including myself as well as the performers sounded great too and I saw Mark,Robyn and Haylee and also I hope the APIA Good Times show come back to Brisbane next year which I look forward to look it. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
