Living On A Thin Line by Dave Davies

This is the autobiography of British musician and founding member of the legendary British rock band The Kinks Dave Davies and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Muswell hill in London, the loss of sister Rene in 1957, playing with his brother Ray at the The Clissod Arms, playing in the Band the Ramrods and the Ravens before becoming the Kinks, achieving great success in the 60's and 70's with hits including You Really Got Me, All Day and All of The Night, Tired of Waiting For You, Sunny Afternoon, Waterloo Sunset, Lola as well as having the solo hits Death Of A Clown and Susannah's Still Alive, having same sex relationships, his relationship with his brother and Kinks member Ray, encounters with Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Chrissie Hynde, Brian Jones, Graham Nash and many others, his stroke in 2004 and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME and FANTASTIC stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read about an rock icon who has been through a lot. This is his second autobiography as the first was Kink in 1996 and this is an must for Kinks fans as well as 60's music fans which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
