The Complete Collection Dinah Lee

This is the 3 CD boxed set The Complete Collection of legendary New Zealand singer Dinah Lee and on this 3 CD set it has the hit singles from the 60's including Don't You Know Yockomo, Reet Petite and Do The Blue Beat, album tracks, live recordings and jingles as well as recordings from the 70's as well as 2006 and 2016 and there is an booklet which had has fantatsic stuff including comments from Peter Williams from max Merritt and the Meteors and Dave Miller from the Dave Miller Set as well as photos including some never been seen before. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME and FANTASTIC songs that has stood the test of time which they still sound great today as it did back then and still gets played on radio in Australia and New Zealand. Dinah Lee as I mentioned in my last review about the collection CD has just done an NZ tour with Tami Neilson as well as shows in Australia for the Good Old days of Rock and Roll tour with Little Pattie, Jade Hurley, Lucky Starr and Digger Revell and next year will be 60 years since Dinah Lee came on the music scene in New Zealand and Australia which also should considered an Aria Hall of Fame for her part in the history of Australian music. This is an must for Dinah Lee fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
