Fortunate Son is the autobiography of legendary American singer-songwriter as well as founding member of the legendary American rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival John Fogerty. In this book he talks about his upbringing in El Cerrito in the San Francisco area, his parents divorce in the 50's, started getting into music at a young age, getting his first guitar at 12 or 13, forming the band called the Blue Velvets who would become the Golliwogs and eventually Creedence Clearwater Revival, the great success they had between 1968-72, his 2 marriages, the issues between the Creedence members, the solo career which it's still going to this day, his brother Tom's death, the lawsuits and many others. It is an AWESOME, BRILLIANT and an SUPERB book with great and FANTASTIC stories which I enjoyed reading it very much. John Fogerty is still touring and recording as he'll be performing in Las Vegas in January 2016 as he has been on the scene since 1968 and still going strong. This book is a must for Creedence fans as well as John Fogerty fans and I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
