Reckless Chrissie Hynde

Reckless is the autobiography of legendary singer and founding member of the legendary British-American rock band the Pretenders Chrissie Hynde. In this book she talks about her upbringing in Akron Ohio, her taste for rock n roll, motorbikes and the get down boys at gigs in and around Cleveland, witnessing the shooting of student antiwar protesters at Kent State in 1970, going to London in 1973 where she was a reviewer for New Musical Express, an shopgirl, hanging around with the Sex Pistols and the Clash, forming the Pretenders in 1978 which would achieve success with hits like Brass In Pocket, Back on the Chain Gang, Tattooed Love Boys, the sad deaths of Pretenders members James Farndon and James Honeyman Scott and others. It is an FANTASTIC and an BRILLIANT book with great and FANTASTIC stories which I enjoyed reading it very much. Chrissie Hynde is still around which last year she released an solo album called Stockholm and the Pretenders lasted performed in 2012 for the Singapore Grand Prix. This book is a must for Pretenders fans and I give this 4 and an half stars which it's still in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
