Polyanna by Brother John (Johnny Cymbal)

Johnny Cymbal who had the big hit in 1963 with Mr Bassman which went to number 16 in the USA, number 24 in the UK, number 13 in Australia, number 13 in Brisbane, number 3 in Adelaide, number 11 in Melbourne, number 18 in Perth and number 20 in Sydney released an single in 1970 called Polyanna under the name Brother John on the A&M label and had an hit under the name of Drek in 1968 with Cinnamon which was number 10 in Australia,numebr 2 in Brisbane and number 11 in the USA as well as writing and producing for artists like Gene Pitney and Terri Gibbs. Polyanna was an hit in Australia as it went to number 84 and number 14 in Brisbane and it was written by Paul Davis with George Tobin who would manage Tiffany as well as producing Smokey Robinson and Natalie Cole produced the single and Jimmie Haskell who worked with Ricky Nelson, Elvis Presley and the Grass Roots did the arranging.
