Play On Mick Fleetwood

Play On is the autobiography of legendary drummer and founding member of legendary rock group Fleetwood Mac Mick Fleetwood. In this book he talks about his childhood which he lived in different countries like Norway, Egypt and France, getting his first drum at age 11, moving to London in 1963, playing in groups The Cheynes, Bo Street Runners, Peter B's Looners, Shotgun Express and John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, the formation of Fleetwood Mac in 1967, the early success of the group with peter Green, the early line up changes in the 70's with departures of Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, Danny Kirwan etc, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1975 which would become the classic line up of the group that would record the most successful work including the classic album Rumours, the recordings, touring, his 3 marriages and many others. It is an AWESOME and an SUPERB book as well as an enjoyable and an FANTASTIC read which I enjoyed it very much and it was also impressive as well. This is Mick Fleetwood's second autobiography as the first one My Life and Adventures With Fleetwood Mac was released in 1990 as he wrote that with Stephen Davis and this second book he wrote with Anthony Bozza an music journalist for music magazine Rolling Stone as well as co writing books with Tommy Lee, Slash(Guns N Roses) and others. Mick Fleetwood is with Fleetwood Mac as they are back on the road with the classic line up of Mick, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham and I hope they come to Australia soon as well as it is 47 years when the group were formed and are still going strong. This book is a must for Fleetwood Mac fans as well as fans of 70's music and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
