Exorcising Ghosts Dave Cousins

Exorcising Ghost is the autobiography of Dave Cousins English singer-songwriter as well as founding member of the legendary English group Strawbs. In this group he talks about his upbringing in West London, forming his first group called the Gin Bottle Four, the folk scene of the 60's, forming the group called the Strawberry Hill Boys who would become Strawbs who would achieve success in the 60's and 70's going from folk to progressive and briefly with glam with 3 top 40 hits including the big one PArt of the Union in 1973 , discovering singer Sandy Denny at a club in Earls Court, working with people like Dame Vera Lynn, Richard Attenborough, David Bowie, Gene Pitney, getting involved with commercial radio and many others. It is an excellent book with great stories as well as very entertaining and an very enjoyable read and I enjoyed reading it. Strawbs are still touring and recording with Dave as the only original founding member still in the group and has just released an new album called Prognostic. This book is a must for music fans of the 70's music as well as Strawbs and I am giving this 4 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
