The Beach Boys @ Jupiters Casino Tuesday November 17th 2015

On Tuesday November 17th I went to Jupiters to see legendary American rock n roll group The Beach Boys which it was my second time seeing them as my first one was on Wednesday December 9th 1998 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre which on the bill with them were Australian singer Richard Clapton and the soft rock group America. Me and Mum were staying there that night as Dad dropped us off after 1.30pm that afternoon after stopping @ Nerang and Southport where I bought an Daryl Braithwaite CD and had KFC for lunch. Before going to the show me and Mum went to Bite where I had Chicken Schentzel, chips and salad for dinner, had a coke to drink, before going to dinner I met my Facebook friend Wendy, went downstairs where I bought an Beach Boys T Shirt and cap and went inside. The show stated after 7.45pm with support act legendary Australian singer John Paul Young and the All Star Band came on stage which he performed his hits and did an FANTASTIC set which he sounded great and the band were great too and there was an interval where I saw Roger Jellicoe of the Brisbane group the Avengers with his wife Laura. The Beach Boys which has lead vocalist Mike Love who was been with the group since the start in 1961 and Bruce Johnston who has been with them since 1965 despite leaving in 1972 and returning in 1978 came on stage before 9pm which they performed for 2 hours doing many of their classic hits from the 60's as well as some album tracks and an song called Pisces Brothers an tribute to George Harrison and there were clips and pictures of the group on stage as well as when they did God Only Knows they showed an clip of Carl Wilson doing it as well as recorded vocal and Do You Wanna Dance had clips of Dennis Wilson and also when they were doing Surfer Girl they had the crowd waving their cell phones which was interesting and also when their were doing Barbara Ann a number of ladies came on stage. The show finished before 11pm, saw Mum who was playing pokies, bought Coke Zero from the newsagent and went back to the room. It was an AWESOME and an BRILLIANT show which everyone had a great time including myself and the group still sounding great with Mike Love at 74 and Bruce Johnston 73. The crowds were packed which it's great to see for a group who began 54 years ago and had their first hit 53 years ago still packing out and that's amazing to see. I hope they come back to Australia soon and to those who have not seen them live do yourself a favour and see them which you should love it as I'm sure it will bring back memories for those who grew up in the 60's as well as those who were not born in that era but has an interest in that era you shall experience seeing an true 60's act.
