The Australian Buddy Holly Show with Chris Knight @ Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club promoted by Matman Promotions

On Sunday night June 10th I went to the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club to see the Australian Buddy Holly Show with Chris Knight which was promoted by Matman Promotions and I have seen him plenty of time since 2004 and an great way to finish off CRO 2018 for me was this show. Caught the bus to the golf club, saw Colin and Robyn which we talked, went inside and bought an Elvis picture. The show started after 8.30pm with Kris Knight and the band coming on the stage including Gail on keyboards and Tony on bass and in the first set did Buddy Holly classics as well as songs by Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Ritchie Valens and Bill Haley and there was an interval where I had an Diet Coke to drink as well as seeing Matman and Marina. In the second set Chris did more Buddy Holly classics as well as rock and roll classics which lance Lipinsky was in the audience and also got an Ambassador for the CRO 2018 certificate which he deserved it. The show finished before 10.40pm, went outside, caught the bus back to Twin Towns and walk back to Bella Mare. It was an FANTASTIC show which I with everyone else there had an great time and Chris was FANTASTIC as always doing those Buddy Holly classics and other rock and roll classics so well with an great back band including Tony and Gail. Thanks to Matman for promoting 3 great shows this year and I look forward to see those @ CRO next year and also I hope Chris comes back next year. If you have not seen this tribute show do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be amazed and enjoy hearing these great songs from an great era of rock and roll.
