This is the memoir of legendary American director Oliver Stone and he talks about his upbringing in New York, going to Boarding School in Pennsylvania, his parents' divorce, serving in the Army in Vietnam, studying @ NYU, his first 2 marriages, driving taxis, achieving success as an screenwriter  winning the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Midnight Express as well as doing the Screenplay for Scarface, Conan The Barbarian  as well as the movies he directed including The Hand Platoon which would  him the Oscar for Best Director in 1986 and many others. It's an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT book as well as very entertaining and impressive as well as an enjoyable read as well as telling it honestly going through the experiences in the 60's, 70's and 80's. This is an must for movie fans and I giving it 4 and an half stars as it is in the shops now so do yourselves and BUY IT which you will be amazed and impressed.
