This is from the Telegraph February 20th 1963 (61 Years Ago today) and this is the 4BK top 10 with Del Shannon at number 1 with Little Town Flirt, the Denvermen who also backed up Digger Revell at number 2 with the song written by Johnny Devlin and Nat Kipner Surfside, The Shadows at number 3 with the Boys written by members Brian Bennett, Bruce Welch and Hank Marvin, Bobby Vee at number 4 with The Night Has A Thousand Eyes, the Tornados at number 5 with the song written and produced by Joe Meek Telstar which most people would know that they were the first British group to hit number 1 in the USA, Elvis Presley at number 6 with the song which was from the Movie Girls Girls Girls Return To Sender, the Hilltop Singers at number 7 with Walk Right In which was an cover of the Cannon's Jug Stompers song in 1929, Teresa Brewer at number 8 with Ballas of Lovers Hill, Cliff Richard at number 9 with the song from the Summer Holiday movie which he wrote it with Bruce Welch Bachelor Boy and at number 10 the Delltones with Come A Little Bit Closer which was an cover of the Willy and Ruth song written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller as well as the first single for Col Loughnan who replaced the late Noel Widerberg who was tragically killed in a car crash July 7th 1962.
