Darren J Ray Band @ CArina Leagues Club

LAst Saturday April 7th I went to Carina Leagues CLub to see the Darren J ray BAnd which it was my second time seeing the Darren J Ray Band as it was my 15th time seeing Darren and also it's my second time seeing Darren live this year. The show started at 7.3opm with the quartet line up which featured Kaitlyn and did 4 FANTASTIC sets doing songs from the 50's,60's,70's,80's up to now and during one of the sets did the chicken dance which i did it by myself and as well in the other set KAitlyn walk through the crowds giving Easter Eggs as well as wearing an hat in one set and the band put on ELvis sideburnsdoing an few ELvis songs as well. During the show Darren did Happy birthday for 2 people Delwyn and MAria and at the show I saw brenda,Bob,scotty,AMber, Kaitlyn and Darren which Amber's baby was with her mother and Garry and Jenny(Scotty's parents) were not there as they were on an cruise trip as Jenny told me on Facebook. the show finished at 11.30pm which it was an FANTASTIC show as Darren always puts on an FANTASTIC show doing great songs of the different eras and Kaitlyn sang great as always as well as Scotty and everyone had an great time even me.Darren will be back at Carina on July 28th with the Fabulous SOunds of the 60's show and I am looking forward to seeing the show there. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
