Hey True Blue is the autobiography of legendary Australian country singer-songwriter John Williamson. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Quambatook in Victoria as well as moving to Moree in 1965, playing in a folk group called The John D Four , performed on New Faces in 1969 performing a song called Old Man Emu, had a hit with in 1970 which he recorded for the Fable label,great success in the 80's with songs like True Blue, Rip Rip Woodship, behind the scenes on the road as well as home,management difficulties, his passion for preserving our national character and landscape,his first marriage to Mary Kay Price with whom they have 2 daughters lasted until 2007 after 34 years, performing at some of the major events like the Sydney Olympics and many others. It is SUPERB and an BRILLIANT book with great stories which i enjoyed it very much and was very impressed. John Williamson is still recording and touring which he has released his 50th album called Honest People and also he has got prostate cancer. This book is a must for any Australian country music fans and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
