My Bon Scott by Irene Thornton

My Bon Scott is the autobiography of Irene Thornton the ex wife of AC DC singer Bon Scott. In this she book, she talks about her growing up in Adelaide where she saw live shows and buying records, meeting Bon Scott who was in Fraternity at that time in 1971, marry in 1972, going to London with Fraternity which she talks about the bitter winters as well as the drinking and the drugs as well as he inner demons, broken dreams, and frayed tempers, she also talks about her incredible bond with a man who would become the lead singer of ACDC which would put them on the world stage, his sad death in 1980 and many others. It is AWESOME and an BRILLIANT book as well as enjoyable and very moving and there is an lot of great stories in this book. This book is co written with Simone Ubaldi an freelance writer who co wrote Mark "Chopper" Read's book Road To Nowhere and Molly Meldrum did the foreword which it's great to see. It is 34 years since the sad passing of Bon Scott but his work with AC DC lives on forever and this book is a must for Australian music fans as well as AC DC fans so I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
