Journeyman From the Pacemakers To Oz by Jose McLaughlin

This is the autobiography of musician Jose McLaughlin and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Liverpool, the passing of his mother at age 6, starting playing piano at an young age, the music scene in Liverpool, playing in groups including The Joe Ray Me Trio, The Modern Blues Quartet, The Dials and The Elastic Band, joining Gerry and the Pacemakers in the 70's, moving to Australia in 1974, playing with New Dream, Pantha and Daniel, moving to the Gold Coast in the 80's where he played with the Executives, moving to Brisbane, working with Duane Eddy, The Doobie Brothers, Broderick Smith, Buddy England, Bo Diddley and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC, impressive and very entertaining stories and an FANTASTIC read which it well worth reading going on the journey from Liverpool to Australia. Jose wrote it with Tony Bolland and Jose does lectures at the Queensland Conservatorium Of Music and does some gigs still.
