This is the biography of NZ born Australian American country singer Keith Urban written by Jeff Apter and in the book it talks about Keith coming to Australia at an young age from New Zealand, living in Brisbane, getting guitar lessons from his teacher Sue McCarthy, playing around Brisbane with California Suite and Rusty and the Ayres Rockettes as well as Fractured Mirror and Obsure Alternatives, doing appearances on Country Homestead and New Faces, began recording for EMI, going to Nashville where he would achieve great success over there, his issues with alcohol and cocaine, his marriage to actress Nicole Kidman, working with Slim Dusty, Taylor Swift, Nile Rodgers and many others. It is very good and excellent with great stories as well as impressive ones and excellent research done by Jeff Apter who always does a great job.It is 31 years since Keith Urban began recording and his first actual hit was Only You which was number 101 nationally and number 37 in Brisbane and Keith is currently one of the judges on the talent show The Voice and will be touring Australia later in the year including Brisbane on December 2nd and 3rd at the Brisbane Entertainment Center. This is an must for country music fans as well as Keith Urban fans which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
