on The Move
Last Saturday March 5th I went to see an local group from Brisbane called "On The Move" at Carina Leagues Club and they were Excellent. this group has been around since late 2008 when they were formed and they play throughout South East Queensland as well as the Gold Coast,Ipswich and Toowoomba. It was my 2nd time seeing them as I saw them the first time @ Kedron-Wavell on Sunday August 29th last year (2010) as part of the Rock'n'Roll Spectacular show to raise money for the Endeavour Foundation and they opened the show that day. The group does an mixture of classic rock'n'roll like Elvis, Buddy Holly, Dion, Chuck Berry, Dusty Springfield, Ricky Nelson to modern country from people like Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, The Mavericks as well as classic country like the Bellamy Brothers, Jim Reeves etc and they get everyone singing along and dancing as well. I met Dave the bass player who lived in the Camp Hill area long time ago and Marilyn the singer/keyboardist during the intervals and they had seen my blog that mentioned them at the Rock'n'Roll Spectacular. i enjoyed their show last saturday and I look forward to seeing them again in the future. if anyone would like to know where they are playing you can go to their website that is onthemoveband.org and I'm sure you will enjoy their show singing along to the best rock'n'roll and country stuff
