BrizVegas Kustom Karnival

On Sunday November 4th I went to the Acacia Ridge Hotel to attend the BrizVegas Kustom karnival which was put together by lori Lee. I arrived @ Acacia Ridge Hotel after 12.15pm as i caught the bus from the city where i had KFC for lunch. Rang home, took photos, waited and watch West Texas Crude perform which they were FANTASTIC and among the songs they did was Brown Eyed Handsome Man.
There was an interval where I took photos, had an drink of water and watch Almo Loos who is an barber performed with Dan from the Dualtones, Mark and Jon Flynn which he was great too.
there was another interval where I saw Mimi and Emma, bought Coke, drank it, watch Charlie Hightone which he was FANTASTIC and great and was backed by Dan, Jon and mark which they an great back up to him with excellent guitar playing by Dan and after Charlie's performance bought an vinyl EP which he signed it and got an photo with him.
There was an interval where I saw Sheri, Walter & Elisse, talked, saw Laura and Ramona, met Stewart, had an coke zero and watch the Go Getters which they were FANTASTIC and played great which they did an some great classic songs like Secret Agent Man, I FOught The Law and also bought an GoGetters shirt.
There was one more interval where i saw Kat,Jodie and Les, had another Coke Zero and watch the Jim ROckfords which they were FANTASTIC with Kylie Lovejoy on bass as well as singing lead on the Runaways song Cherry Bomb which she was just Great doing it and the show eventually finished around 6.15pm.
After the show Lyn who works for Lori took me home with her son and an lady named Karen. The show was FANTASTIC, the bands were FANTASTIC too, the cars were great and everything was great. Lori has an done an great job putting the thing and well done to her and the crew making it all happened. the 2nd BrizVegas Kustom Karnival will be at the Acaica Ridge Hotel on Sunday March 10th 2013 and the band who will be playing there is Los Straitjackets and also to those who have been to an rockabilly show go and see it which it's FANTASTIC and everyone has an great time dancing and enjoying themselves.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
