In The Pleasure Groove, Love,Death and Duran Duran is the autobiography of John Taylor bassist and co founding member of legendary British pop rock band of the 80's Duran Duran. In this Book Johntalks about his upbringing in Birmingham ENgland, discovering music as an teenager which as his favourite band choose Roxy Music, collecting records and teaching himself to play piano, meeting school friend Nick RHodes in 1973, played in an band called Shock Treatment, forming the Band known as Duran Duran in 1978 with Nick Rhodes & Stephen Duffy, had their first hit in 1981 with Planet Earth as well as having hits throughout the 80's like Girls On Film,The Refles, Is There Something I Should Know, Notorious, All She Wants and others, having sidebands The Power Station with Robert Palmer and Duran Duran guitarist Andy taylor and Neurotic Outsiders which included Steve Jones(the Sex Pistols), Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses, problems with drugs and alcohol, 2 marriages and many others. It's an BRILLIANT and an EXCELLENT book with great stories and am very impressed with it. it's an must for any 80's music fans as well as Duran Duran fans and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now.
