Sunbury 73

Sunbury 73 was the follow up to the Sunbury 72 which was held during Australia Day week for 3 days in 1973 which rocked out to about 40,000 fans who were soaked up the atmosphere and performances which were provided by some of the great Australians acts of the era and some of the performances from the festival were shown on TV in that year on Channel 9 called Sunbury 73 which was hosted by former Kommotion host and disc jockey Ken Sparkes and this special is on DVD now. This special was directed by Peter Faiman which has an interview with John Fowler an promoter and it has performances by acts like Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, Ross Ryan, Mississippi which included Beeb Birtles and Graeme Goble and Johnny O'Keefe. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with great stuff on it and the picture quality looks excellent. It is great to see this on DVD as there has been music specials on Channel 9 is getting released and it's great to see this legendary festival coming on DVD as well as there is a DVD of Sunbury 72. This DVD is a must for Australian music fans and I am giving this 4 and a half stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
