For the third and final time tonight let's have another look at  another classic album segment  and this time it's the debut self titled album by American singer Whitney Houston. It was released February 14th 1985 which had an slow commercial response but in the summer of 1985 became more popular and would eventually go to number 1 in the USA pop charts in March 1986 as well as number 1 in the USA R&B charts, Australia, Canada, Norway, South Africa and Sweden, number 2 in the UK, Switzerland, Japan, Germany and Finland, number 3 in Austria and New Zealand, number 11 in Italy and number 13 in France  and it has sold over 22 million copies as well as one of the best selling albums worldwide  and also one of the best selling debut albums of all time. It was produced by Jermaine Jackson, Michael Masser, Kashif and Narada Michael Walden and  from the album had the hit singles Thinking About You, You Give Good Love, All At Once, Saving All My Love For You which won an Grammy for Best Pop Performance Female , How Will I Know and the Greatest Love Of All as well as doing 2 duets with Jermaine Jackson and 1 with Teddy Pendergrass. Clive Davis was the executive producer and among other musicians and singer appearing on the album  were her mother Cissy doing backing vocals as well as Richard Marx on keyboards and backing vocals and Louie Shelton on guitar. it's 35 years this year since the album came out and it holds up very well to this day with great sings which has stood the test of time and still sounding great to this day. It's 8 years since Whitney Houston passed away but her music lives on forever and is going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this year which she truly deserves it .
