The Ox by Paul Rees

  • This is the authorized biography of the legendary British rock group The Who's bass player John Entwistle written by Paul Rees and in this book it talks about his upbringing in Acton London, his parents breaking up, starting getting into music at an age young, playing in bands like the Scorpions and the Confederates with Pete Townshend,  joined the Detours which become The Who, achieving great success with classics like My Generation, I Can't Explain, Substitute, Pinball Wizard, Won't Get Fooled Again, Who Are You and others, his 2 marriages, the loss of Keith Moon, his passing in 2002 and others. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB book with AWESOME and impressive stories which there are some that have never been told before  and I loved reading it. Paul Rees  has worked for Kerrang as well as Q magazine as well as co written Steve Lukather's autobiography The Gospel According To Luke, A Fast Ride Out Of Here Confessions of Rock's Most Dangerous Man by Pete Way of the band UFO and others and also the Entwistle family has the full co operation doing the book. It's 18 years in June when John Entwistle passed away in Las Vegas just as the Who were about to do an American tour  but  the great music  that he did with the Who lives on forever and Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are still working as the Who. This book is an must for the fans of the Who and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.
