Priscilla

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Coorparoo to see the movie Priscilla. It's West Germany 1959 and 14 year old Priscilla Beaulieu (Cailee Spaeny) who is in Germany with her family as her father Captain Beaulieu(Ari Cohen) is in the service is met by an officer who invites her to meet Elvis Presley (Jacob Elordi) the biggest singing star at the time at an party which despite her parents' reservations goes to meet Elvis and they have an liking to each other as well as started to spending time together as he was in the army at the time and He goes back in the US while she stays in Germany which she is missing him and eventually she goes over to Memphis where she continues her education as well as spending time with Elvis and his friends the Memphis Mafia as well as her life changes whichs he would eventually marry him and it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT acting by Cailee Spaeny, Jacob Elordi, Ari Cohen, Dagmar Dominczyk,Tim Post and Lynne Griffin. It is directed by Sofia Coppola who also did the screenplay and produced it with Youree Henley and Lorenzo Mieli and this is the based on Priscilla Presley's memoir Elvis and Me which she wrote that with Sandra Harmon in 1985 as well as being the 2nd time adpated to the screen as the first was the TV movie mini series in 1988 with Susan Walters as Priscilla and Dale Midkiff as Elvis and also Priscilla was one of the executive producers for this movie. Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi really nailed it as Priscilla and Elvis and this is one of their finest performances they have done. I am giving this 4 stars and it is in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
