On Saturday January 26th I went to Carindale cinema to see the movie Les Miserables. It's 1815 and convict Jean Valjean(Hugh Jackman) has been released on Parole by prison guard named Javert(Russell Crowe) after serving 19 years in jail. Jean is offered food and shelter by the Bishop of Digne played by Colm Wilkinson but during the night he steals the silver and is given an let off by the Bishop by saying that the silver was given to Valjean who then breaks his parole by vowing to help others and to start an new life under an new name and it's gets very interesting throughout the movie. It's an BRILLIANT movie with BRILLIANT acting by Hugh Jackman who plays Jean Valjean (he is an nominated for an Best Actor Oscar), Russell Crowe as Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine (she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress, Helena Bonham Carter playing mme Thenardier, Sascha Baron Cohen who plays Thenardier, Amanda Seyfried plays Cosette, Colm Wilkinson plays the Bishop and many others. the music in the movie is just great too with great signing by the actors and it was so impressive as well. It was directed by Tom Hooper, produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Debra Hayward and Cameron mackintosh, screenplay by William Nicholson, Alain Boublil, Claude Michel Schornberg and Herbert Kretzmer and it is based on the musical done by Claude Michel Schornberg and Alain Boublil.
