New Years Eve @ Carina Leagues Club

On New Years Eve 2012 I went to Carina Leagues Club to see Hi Way 1 and the CLassic Creedence Show and it's been my 7th year going to Carina Leagues Club for new Years Eve which I enjoy going there as they have great shows. I had Dinner as Dad dropped me off and I had Beef Nachos fo dinner. The show started @ 8pm with Hi Way 1 guys(Mike, Brian, Nigel,Hayden and Kevin doing an set of British rock stuff from the late 60's- 70's which included stuff by the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Free, Gerry Rafferty etc and it was an FANTASTIC set and after their set the fireworks took @ 9pm which it looked colourful and great. The Venus Experience (Hi Way 1) did their set which it was an FANTASTIC set with great singing by Vanessa and fantastic playing by the guys and doing stuff bY tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, The Pretenders etc and they finished off their set an bit suddenly with Pleasure and Pain and also after their set I bought the Hi Way 1 Cd "Live At Eaton Hills Hotel" which I did'nt have to pay which it was great as I am one of their biggest fan as Vanessa said to me when I got the CD. Then the Classic Creedence tribute band came on stage which they did 2 sets doing the classic Creedence stuff which during the first break I bought Vanessa's solo CD and the during the 2nd set which we had the countdown to 2013 and also after midnight Tim Hewlett took me home which I appreciated that as I would have waited an long while for taxis. It was an FANTASTIC show and everyone had an great time including me and both Hi Way 1 and the Classic Creedence were both FANTASTIC too playing great songs. I saw besides from TiM Hewlett, Shane, Colin and Peter from Creek Road church, Mark Kalms from Ten Pin Bowling and Ross,Gail, Sarah and Abbey. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
