Anyone Who Had A Heart is the autobiography by legendary American songwriter Burt Bacharach. In this book he talks about his upbringing in New York in Forest Hills, getting into music when he sneaked into an jazz club in Manhattan to see Dizzy Gillespie, serving in the Army during the Korean War, played piano with Vic Damone, Polly Bergen,The Ames Brothers etc, worked with Marlene Dietrich as he was the musical arranger, wrote an string of endless hits with Hal David as well as working with Dionne Warwick, Cilla Black, Elvis Costello, Dusty Springfield,Manfred Mann and many others, his 4 marriages including Angie Dickinson(American Actress) and songwriter Carole Bayer Sager, the sad loss of his daughter Nikki to suicide in 2007 and many others. It's an AWESOME and an BRILLIANT book with great stories which are very impressive told by Burt and it is co written with Robert greenfield an Screenwriter, Author and journalist. Burt Bacharach has been on the music scene for over 50 years which the songs he wrote still endures and is still working at the age of 85 still touring and writing. This book is an must for any fans of 60's music and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now.
