Bandstand Live-Roy Orbison and the Everly Brothers/Liza Minnelli and Dionne Warwick /Live At the Capitol Theatre Perth 1965

Let's have a look at 3 DVD's of the legendary Australian music show Bandstand and it is TV specials that had international acts as well as a live show in Perth. The first DVD is the Roy Orbison and the Everly Brothers Special which on the Roy Orbison special that was shown on February 13th 1965 has besides from Roy performing his big hits it had Julie Rogers and Bandstand regulars Janice Slater, Dinah Lee, Phil Lanham and Sharon Black and the Everly Brothers special was filmed in Sydney @ the Chequers Night Club in 1968 with intro done by Brian Henderson and the Everlys performing their big hits of the 50's and 60's. the 2nd DVD is the Liza Minnelli and Dionne Warwick Special which the Liza MInnelli performance was shown on July 29th 1967 which had her performing songs which included Maybe This Time, Liza With A Z, Cabaret, Meantime, I Taught My Mother and others and it had also the Allen Brothers which included Peter Allen who was married to Liza at that time as well as the Allen Brothers who in the early 60's were regulars on Bandstand and on the Dionne Warwick special that was shown on August 13th 1966 had Dionne performing her classic hits including Anyone Who had A Heart, Message To Michael, Walk On By and also has performances of Bandstand regulars including Ray Brown and the Whispers and Kevin Todd who was married to singer Laurel Lea. the 3rd and final DVD is the live show in Perth at the Capitol Theatre on November 27th 1965 which had a all star cast on it that were-Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, Ray Brown and the Whispers, Paul Wayne, Max Merritt and the Meteors, Merv Benton, Lynne Randell, Jade Hurley, Digger Revell and Bryan Davies performing many of their hits as well as classic rock songs of the time and this show also includes Jade Hurley collapsed on stage from nervous exhaustion and Max Merritt stepping in to keep the show going. These 3 DVD's are FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with great stuff and great performances by these acts and the picture quality looks excellent which it is great to see these shows are on DVD. As I said on the VOlume 1 and 2 DVD's it is 55 years when Bandstand started and 41 when it finished but it is still fondly remembered by many Australians and great to see many of these names on the DVD which it's wonderful to see. This DVD is a must for any Australian music fans who grew up watching this show for 14 years every weekend and for people like myself who weren't born when Bandstand was on but has a interest of that era of Australian music and I am giving 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT
