Apia Good Times Show @ QPAC May 31st

On Friday May 31st I went to QPAC to see the APIA Good Times show which was my 3rd time seeing it and the line up were Vika and Linda from the Black Sorrows, Joe Camilleri, Kate Cebrano, John Paul Young, ross Wilson, Russell Morris and Brian Cadd. I caught the bus from Cannon Hill to South Bank, saw Angie and her husband Michael, went to Yellowfin where I had T Bone Steak and Veges for dinner, ate Sundae at the Food Court and walk to QPAC. Bought Program and Kate Cebrano CD, saw Janine from work, put bag in locker, went inside, write notes and waited. The show started after 7.3pm with Vika and Linda doing 2 of their hits from the 90's, Ross Wilson did a song from Mondo Rock and Daddy Cool, Russell Morris his 1971 hit Sweet Sweet Love, Kate Cebrano came on next which she did 2 of her hits, John Paul Young with Warren The Pig Morgan on piano doing I Hate The Music, Joe Camilleri did 2 of the Black Sorrows songs and Brian Cadd did 2 of his 70's hits and there was an interval where I bought a bag, saw an old friend named Laine whose parents were friends with my Mum for years until 2011, drank Coke Zero, saw the 2 blokes I saw @ Wynnum RSL and went back inside. The 2nd half started with each of the acts doing their hits like Ross Wilson with some more Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock classics, Joe Camilleri doing some more Black Sorrows and Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, Vika and Linda doing the Black Sorrows hit Never Let me Go, Kate Ceberano doing her hits from the 80's and 90's, Brian Cadd did Out Of Time with Russell Morris as well as doing A Little Ray Of Sunshine and John Paul Young performed 2 of his 70's hits which he finished the show with Love Is In The Air with the other performers back the singer up. The show finished after 10pm, got my bag out of the cloak room, the artists came out to sign the programs as well as merchandises, went to the bus stop, caught bus, got off at Carindale, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had a great time including myself, each of the performers still sound great and singing better than ever as well as entertaining the crowd and the back up band were FANTASTIC and also I look forward to see the show again next year. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
