Love Equals Love by the Ohio Express

For this week's lost classic segment let's have a look at the 1970 single Love Equal Love by the Ohio Express. By 1970 the hits for the American group the Ohio Express who had an string of hits from 1967-69 including Chewy Chewy, Down At Lulu's, Yummy Yummy Yummy and Mercy had ended for them in America but here in Australia they had one more hit single before it ended and the song is Love Equals Love which was written by John Carter who was from the British singing group the Ivy League and Russell Alquist who had been an athlete and an lifeguard with John producing the single with Ken Lewis who was also in the Ivy League which it was an hit only in Australia as it went to number 56 but it very well in 2 of the Australian cities as it went to number 6 in Adelaide and number 11 in Brisbane.
