Shave for a Cure 2012





Last Friday Night I went to Carina Leagues CLub to particiate in the world's greatest shave for Leukaemia which it was my 4th time doing it as I have done it since 2009 and I always look forward to it every year. On Friday Mum came with me as always when I do the shave as we got there around 6.30pm and Martin was one of the duty managers on the night which he took me to the bar to wait for the person who would shave my hair and it turned out to be an guy called Cameron who works in the bar. Went near the stage with Cameron and Mum who was taking photos he shaved my hair in front of everyone at the club and 3 people sponsored me there an lady named Lorraine, Allan and his wife and Cameron. It felt so good having my hair shaved and having people watching it which it's even better. My cousin Gary who was there congratulated me as well as Peter Wright who is an survivor of leukaemia as well as knowing Mum,Dad and the cousins congratulated me also and of course I stayed for the rest of the night as i saw the group T Bird. I thanked Sammy King for making the arrangements as she was on her honey moon and to MArtin and Cameron for their help on the night.I always enjoy doing the shave which it's an lot of fun and always happy to shave my hair for an good cause. I look forward to doing it again next year and this year I raised $2,840 and also an big thanks for those who sponsored me from work friends,rockabilly people, ten pin bowling people and other friends

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
