the Delltones @ Kedron Wavell Friday July 6th 2012

On Friday July 6th I went to Kedron Wavell Services Club to see legendary Australian singing group the Delltones which it was my 9th time seeing them and it was 9 months ago when i last saw them at Mt Gravatt Bowls Club on Friday October 21st 2011.Before the show started I bought the live DVD that they did in Melbourne nearly 4 years ago and saw Carla which she told me that Pee Wee's book will be released next year. The show started after 8pm with the group doing the unplugged set doing stuff like I Wonder Why, Why Do Fools Fall In Love,Mr Bassman and others and in the interval I saw Maxine from the Auxiliary and Heleen from work as well as speaking to Carla about recordings coming out on CD that they are planning to do. in the second set they came doing the rock'n'roll set which they did their hits Gee, You're the Limit, Come A Little Bit Closer, Hangin Five and Get A Little Dirt On Your Hands as well as other songs like Shout, She's My baby, blue moon, the Lion Sleeps Tonight which Pee Wee played acoustic guitar, Earth Angel and others which the guys wore the pink suits and pants and black shirts and the end of the show wore the gold suits. the show finished around 10.20pm and I waved to Nicole from the Love Bugs who was on the phone as darren j ray Trio were performing downstairs that night. Carla took me backstage to say hello to the guys which I asked about the book, speaking about robin Gibb,as well as recordings, people like the everly brothers, tab hunter, Lloyd Price, the Beatles and the Beach Boys and others. The Show was just FANTASTIC which I had an great time and enjoy seeing the Delltones as always and the guys were just FANTASTIC too which they sound great as an 4 piece line up as well as singing great too as well as enjoying Pee Wee's sense of humor . I look forward to see them again when they come back to Brisbane and to those who have not seen them live go and see them as they put on an FANTASTIC show doing great songs.     Hi Luke,

    Would please post up who is in the last photo with you. I have a sneaky suspicion that this is the original group minus the late Noel Widerberg.

    Pee wee is the only original member in the group and Merv, Owen and Woody have been with the group since the 80's

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
