Rock'n'Roll Jamboree show @ Kedron Wavell

On Sunday July 15th I went to Kedron Wavell Services Club to see the Rock'Roll Jamboree show that was promoted by Matman Promotions and it was my 11th time seeing the Matman shows as it was an year ago when I saw Matman's show @ Coolangatta Tweed Golf CLub an year ago during Cooly Rocks on where I saw the Big Bopper Jr on Friday June 10th and the Sonics and The CHevrolets on Saturday June 11th last year. I arrived at Kedron Wavell around 1.30pm where I saw Matman,COlin,Heidi,Bob,Pauline and Ian Stokes and bought Ian B MacLeod CD "Hello Mary Lou" and DVD "Rockabilly Party". The show started at about 2pm with Rex MacNamara doing an set of classic rock'n'roll songs including Chuck Berry,Bill Haley, dion etc, then Leisa Kerris came on stage doing an set of Connie Francis songs and Ian B MacLeod did an set of Carl Perkins songs and there was an interval where I bought another Ian B MacLEod DVD which was celebrating 50 years which has clips from old TV shows and recordings from the 60's onwards as well as seeing my friend from the gigs Kevin as well as his wife Di and Ian B MacLEod came out which I got autographs and photo with him as I took an photo of Pauline and Ian B MacLeod which I had not seen him live since Wintersun 2009 @ the Wintersun Dance Party show on Wednesday June 3rd 2009 witH Forever Everly,Normie ROwe,Gabe Phoenix and Adam Williams doing Buddy Holly. The show resumed with the premiers doing an set of instrumentals, Rex MacNamara doing an set of Bobby Darin songs and Anthony Petrucci doing the 50's Elvis which he was FANTASTIC and there was another interval where I bought Anthony's CD, saw Elaine,Daryl,ANgie and Natalie and met Kerry and Tracey. Gerard O'Donoghue came on stage which he an FANTASTIC set of Roy Orbison songs and there was an finale when the performers came back on stage which each singer did the big hit song of the acts they did in the show which the show finished at 5.30pm. I saw Marina (matman's wife) who went to see the Jersey Boys show, spoke with Matman about future shows coming up, got anthony's autograph and an photo and met my Facebook friend Robyn. The show was ROCKIN & FANTASTIC and everyone had an great time including me which i enjoyed it and the performers were just FANTASTIC too including ANthony and Gerard and an great job by Matman putting it together which I look forward to see another show by matman soon. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

Roland Storm , Bryan Davies and the Mighty Guys show @ South Tweed Sports Club June 6th 2015

On Saturday June 6th I went to the South Tweed Sports Club in the evening where I saw legendary Australian singers Roland Storm and Bryan Davies as well as the rock group the Mighty Guys. Dad took me to the Club, signed in, went inside, bought an Pepsi max, drank it, saw Mick Hamilton(had not seen since Sunday June 9th 2013) and Leon Isackson and waited. The show started after 8pm with the Mighty Guys doing a few songs which were classic rock n roll songs with lead vocals done by both Leon Isackson and Mick Hamilton and then Roland Storm and Bryan Davies came on stage which they did a few songs together which then Roland did his set which he performed an set of classic rock songs as well as doing his hit from 1992 with Rolling With the Flow and there was an interval which Roland was selling CD's as I already have them but he came which people bought them as well as seeing Mike Lawler which I mentioned to him about the Rajahs version of a Beatles song on the Australia Salutes the
