The Bee Gees the Festival albums Collection 1965-67

It is 50 years ago this year when 3 young brothers who were English born in the isle Of Man lived in Manchester England emigrated to Australian in 1958 which they settled in Brisbane, moved to the Gold Coast and eventually moving to Sydney began recording on the Festival label which they released their first single called the Battle of the blue and Grey and the group was the Bee Gees(Barry,Robin and Maurice Gibb). the early singles were not hits in Australia but eventually in mid 1965 the group had an top 30 hit with Wine and WOmen and in November 1965 their first LP The Bee Gees Sing and play 14 Barry Gibb Songs which exactly an year later in November 1966 their second album Spicks and Specks(that was recorded in Hurtsville) was released along with the title track that had been released in September which went to number 5 in Australia and no 1 in New Zealand and it was in January 1967 that the Gibb Family left Australia to go back to England to have an crack on the international market which they went on to great success which the rest is history. These 2 albums along with the compilation from December 1967 Turn Around Look At Us are out on CD and it's long overdue. It's an BRILLIANT and AWESOME with great songs written Barry from those albums which besides from the hits on those 2 albums there are some great tracks like I was A Lover A leader of Men which won Barry Gibb an 5KA Radio award in Adelaide for Best Australian composition , and the Children Laughing, Born A Man, Big Chance as well as the early singles like Timber, Peace Of Mind, Claustrophbia etc and the sound are just so good which it's just amazing to hear these 3 young boys would go on to bigger things in the international scene. It is great to see those albums out on CD which it has been an long time coming as well as with Barry Gibb who is currently touring AUstralia which is wonderful and it's an must for any Bee Gees fans which I'm sure you will enjoy listening to these albums and be impressed with it. I am giving this 5 stars and it's in the shops now.
