Come A Little Bit Closer Ian Peewee Wilson

Come A Little Bit Closer is the autobiography of the founding member of one of Australia's popular rock groups the Delltones Ian peewee Wilson. In this book pee Wee talks about his upbringing in Bronte an suburb in Sydney, forming the Delltones in 1958 with Noel Widerberg,Warren Lucas and Brian Perkins which it was Warren who named the group, begin recording which they would go to have successful hits with Gee, You're the Limit, get A Little Dirt on Your Hands, Come A Little Bit Closer, Hangin Five and others as well as touring around people like Fabian, the Everly Brothers, Tab Hunter etc, doing appearences on Bandstand and 6 O'Clock Rock, the tragic loss of Noel Widerberg, performing in Vietnam, going to London to try crack the international market as well as chasing playboy bunnies which one of them would become his second wife Carla, escaping death @ the Whiskey AU Go Go, disbanding the Delltones in 1973 which he and Brian Perkins and their families settled on an farm in Mid North coast of NSW, reforming the group in 1978 , the revival period in the 80's and many others. It's an AWESOME,EXCELLENT and an BRILLIANT book with great stories told by Pee Wee and it's great to see someone from that early period of Australian rock to tell his life story which is wonderful. It's 55 years this year since the Delltones were formed and still going strong better than ever as well as still packing audiences around the country as he is the only remaining original founding member. this book is an must for any Australian rock n roll fans as well as the delltones fans fans and I am giving this book 5 stars which it's in the shops now.
