the Fabulous Sounds of the 60's show @ mt Gravatt Bowls CLub

On Saturday March 16th I went to the Mt Gravatt Bowls to see the Fabulous Sounds of the 60's show which it was my 15th time seeing it as well as my 18th time seeing Darren J Ray. The show started after 8pm with Greg Newman from 4Bh doing the compering and for the next 2 and 40 hours did 2 FANTASTIC sets of great songs from the 60's with people like the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, The Bee Gees, Roy Orbison, Monkees, Johnny O'Keefe, as well as the Love Bugs with Heidi,Kaitlyn, Riley and Sam doing the girl group stuff which sounded great as well as flower power, instrumental and surf music and in between songs in the first set there was an trivia which if you got song and artist right you win an vinyl record with Greg Newman and Sam doing the competition and I got an answer right about the Everly brothers which i Asked about the name of one of them which i said Phil and got an Everly Brothers vinyl and in the second set there was an dance competition which 3 people competed and they each got an packet of mashed potatoes which it was good. This show was also the last for Kaitlyn who is leaving after 8 years and Darren gave her the Susan Boyle book and I actually did'nt know she was leaving until that night and also she was the last link of the line up of the Love Bugs when I saw them in 2006 with Olympia and Natasha @ Kedron Wavell which I hope she has an great future for whatever she does next and will miss her presence on stage. the show finished after 10.45pm with Hey Jude and they came out to signed posters as well as saying hello to the fans which I said hi to Kaitlyn and Heidi and meeting Riley and Sam which they are nice. The show was FANTASTIC and everyone had an great time including myself and the band played great and singing was great too and also greg Newman was just doing Frank Sinatra, an Love Guru, Charlie Watts, an bikie etc which was funny as giving peas to the audience too as Darren was doing Give Peas an Chance. To those who have not seen this show go and see it which it is an FANTASTIC show and an great act doing great songs from the 60's which still endures to this day. set 1- Wichita Lineman 5 O'Clock World 24 Hours From Tulsa Sugar Shack In The Country Satisfaction She Loves You The Times Are A Changin California Dreamin San Francisco Delilah Downtown(Kaitlyn) I Started A Joke Last Train To Clarksville Good Lovin I'll Make You Happy I Wonder WHat She's Doin Tonite The Girl That I Love Hair set 2- Apache Surf City Hangin Five Pretty Woman Be my Baby(Heidi) Leader Of The Pack(Heidi) Stop In the Name Of Love(Kaitlyn) the Shoop Shoop Song(Kaitlyn) Stay Awhile(Kaitlyn) One Fine Day(Kaitlyn) End Of The World(Kaitlyn) Da Do Ron Ron(Riley) Something Stupid These Boots Are Made For Walkin(Sam) She's My Baby Wooden Heart Suspicious Minds Proud Mary Give Peas A Chance hey Jude
