In this book he talked about his and his brother Ira's upbringing in Sands Mountain Alabama picking cotton, began singing gospel together as well as performing on radio, recording for MGM,Decca and Capitol where they would have recording success with hits like When I Stop Dreaming, Knoxville Girl, Cash on The Barrelhead, Don't Laugh and many others, working with people like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Ken Nelson record producer, Ira's wild behavior including drinking and womanzing as well ira being married 4 times and nearly strangling his 3rd wife, Ira's tragic death in an car crash in 1965 and many others. It's an excellent and an impressive book with great stories by Charlie who sadly passed away after the book was completed on January 26th 2011 and the co writer Benjamin Whitmer is an novelist and an country music fan. Kris Kristofferson does the foreword to this book and it's an must for any country music fans as well as fans of the Louvin Brothers. I am giving this 4 stars and it's in the shops now.
