Boogie Presents Silver Roads Australian Country Rock and Singer-Songwriters Of the 70's

Let's have a look at the new compilation Boogie Presents Silver Roads Australian Country Rock and Singer-Songwriters Of the 70's. This double CD is the follow up to last year's Boogie Australian Blues R&B and Heavy Rock compilation and this one is the return to roots coin which was country and folk influences which in the late 60's and early 70's Country Rock was starting to make a impact on the scene with acts like the Band,Crosby Stills Nash and Young,Gram Parsons,Bob Dylan etc and some of the Australian groups and singer-songwriters followed it which created a lot of great music. On this CD it has the well known acts like Axiom featuring Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock, Country Radio,Johnny Chester,Billy Thorpe, COld Chisel, Max Merritt and the Meteors,Digby Richards,Russell Morris, Ross Ryan,Stars,Doug Ashdown,The Dingoes,Daddy Cool,Little River Band as well as less known acts like Saltbush which includes Harold Frith of the legendary Australian rock group the Thunderbirds, Autodrifters,Hot Dog which includes Gary Young from Daddy Cool, Ray Brown and Moonstone(Ray Brown from Ray Brown and the Whispers), Laurie Allen Revue, Sundown, Uncle Bob's Band and many others. It is AWESOME and BRILLIANT with great songs which it still endures to this day as well as some of the others songs are on this CD for the first time which it is great to see too. This CD was co compiled by Clinton Walker an author and David Laing who compiled Boogie and also my Facebook friend Mick Robbins was also involved in it too and Ian McCasuland did the cover art which looked great too. It's an must for any Australian music fans of the 70's and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
