Madder Lake-The Best Of Madder Lake
The Best Of MAdder Lake is an remastered album by legendary Australian rock group Madder Lake. This album was released in April 1978 on the Mushroom label which on it had the singles they had in the 70's including Goodbye Lollypop, 12LB Toothbrush, Booze Blues, Butterfly Blues and many others and the extra tracks that is on the album is 3 live tracks that was recorded in March 2008 @ musicland and also the group had gotten back together after they broke up in 1976 which there were plans for a new album but member Mick Fettes left in January 1979. It's an excellent and an BRILLIANT album with great songs that still endures after all these years and the live tracks are great too and this group was popular in the 70's which they have not got the acknowledgement as they should and let's hope they get inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame one day as they still work together since 1996.Gil Matthews(Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs) did the analogue and digital remastering, Angelo Kanaris did the cover scans and touch up and Streetlink did the layout and Billy Pinnell did the liner notes This CD is a must for AUstralian music fans of the 70's and I am giving this 4 and a half stars which it's in the shops now.
