the Lady Gaga/Pink Tribute show @ Carina Leagues Club

Last Friday July 26th I went to the Carina Leagues Club to see the Lady Gaga/Pink Tribute show which it was my first time seeing it and the singer doing both acts is Megan Barnes who is from an local group called the Zookeepers who play around the clubs in Brisbane,Sunshine Coast and the Gold COast. The show started @ 8.15pm with Megan coming on stage doing Lady ga Ga set which she wore the clothes and the wig and the lady keyboard player wore the mask which looked great and shaked hands with the kids who were at the front and also doing the Lady ga Ga hits which she sounded great along with the 2 dancing girls doing the movements that were great too. There was an interval and Megan came back on stage doing 2 sets of the Pink songs which she wore the different clothes on stage that looked great and the dancing girls wore different clothes including the lipstick which looked great too and everyone was singing along to the songs as well as having a great time. The show finished @ 11.30pm which after the show got a photo with Megan and I caught a cab home. It was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had a great time including myself and Megan was just FANTASTIC as well as singing great doing the Lady Ga Ga and Pink songs too and also I saw KAren Riding, Colin and Shane from Creek Road and RObyn an lady I knew from St Andrews who worked @ Cardiac Rehab for a few years in the 2000's which she is well and also just before the Pink set started I bought beers for both COlin and Shane. I enjoyed the show and I look forward to seeing the show again soon and also to those who have not seen the show go and see it which I'm sure you will be impressed. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
