Mystery Girl Roy Orbison Deluxe

It is 25 years ago when the album Mystery Girl by American singer Roy Orbison who had passed away from an heart attack on December 6th 1988 was released on February 7th 1989 which it went to number 5 in the USA, number 2 in the UK, number 1 in Australia,Holland,Norway and Sweden, number 3 in Switzerland, number 4 in Austria and Germany, number 7 in New Zealand and number 89 in Japan and it was produced by Roy Orbison, Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra, T Bone Burnett, Bono of U2 and Barbara Orbison(roy's wife) and also it was from this album that had the hit singles You Got It, California Blue and She's A Mystery To Me as well as going platinum and also was one of the few artists to have 2 albums in the American Top 5 at that same time as he had recorded the Travelling Wilburys Album at that same time as Mystery Girl was also in the top 5. This album is out on CD again as it's the 25th anniversary and on the remastered album besides from the original tracks on the album there is demo versions of some of the songs as well as a song called the Way Is Love which has been restored with Roy's 3 sons Wesley,Alex and Roy Jr playing on it which it was produced by them and John Carter Cash as well as an documentary called Mystery Girl Unraveled about the making of the album that includes interviews with Tom Petty, Steve Cropper, Billy Burnette, Jeff Lynne, Alex, Roy and Wesley Orbison etc and also video clips of some of the songs. It is SUPERB and BRILLIANT with great stuff on it and put together just BRILLIANTLY.Steve Marcussen did the original audio mastering with Richard Dodd doing the additional audio tracks mastering and Alex, Roy and Wesley Orbison were the executive producers of the Mystery Girl Unraveled with Alex doing the directing. It is hard to believe that it is 25 years when this album came and the songs on it holds so well today and it is nearly 26 years since Roy Orbison passed away who was on the verge of a major commercial comeback when it happened but the great work that he made still endures to this day. This CD is a must for any Roy Orbison fans and I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
