the Delltones @ Twin Towns

On Saturday night June 7th I went to see the Delltones @ Twin Towns which it was my 10th time seeing them live as well as it was 20 years ago when I first saw them live and also until that show I had not seen them since Friday July 6th 2012 @ Kedron Wavell. I walked to Twin Towns which we had been to dinner @ the Coolangatta Tweed Golf CLub with Mum, Dad and heath, bought the CD the Big Four O where I saw Carla and Merv, went inside and had a look at the Cd and the book that Pee Wee wrote last year. The Delltones came on stage at about 8.30pm which for the next 2 hours the Delltones did 2 sets as the first set was the unplugged one which they did the songs that influenced the group as well as songs that in the charts in the 50's and 60's which made of variety of different styles by people like Elvis, The Platters, The Diamonds and in the second set did songs that they recorded over the years as well as well as 5 of their hits from the 50's and 60's which they did the electric stuff as well as doing the instrumental Let there BE Drums as well as wearing different suits from the pink and black in the early into the gold suits in the later part of the set which they finished off the second set with a medley of classic rock and roll songs. The show finished between 10.30pm and 10.40pm, some of us waited outside to meet the guys so Andrew who works for the group as well as Carla took us backstage to say hello to the guys which I got some autographs and the photos with them as well as talking about like with Owen about working with the Platters as well as asking Merv and Woody about latest stuff coming up which they mentioned about a new live CD with the current line-up and spoke with Pee Wee about people we have loss like Doc Neeson who had died that week as well as about the Book as well as the group's performances on the Bandstand DVD as well as with Carla about her daughter Roxanne which she is living in LA and doing well as well as having a coke to drink and also went back to Bella Mare by 10 minutes to midnight which I rang Mum as she had messaged me on my mobile wondering where I was. It was an AWESOME show which everyone enjoyed it including myself and I had a great time and the group were AWESOME which they sounded great as they get better and better every time I see them as well as the humor by Pee Wee which early in the show going on musical journey from 1958 to 1958. I look forward to seeing the Delltones again soon and to those who have not seen them GO and SEE THEM which you shall enjoy a great show done by a great and a true legendary Australian group. set 1- I Wonder Why Why Do Fools Fall In Love Mr Bassman Ghost Riders In The Sky Cool Clear Water The Book Of Love The Great Pretender/It's Only Make Believe/Silhouettes Little Darlin Sh Boom/Bye Bye Love/Diana/Volare/Singing the Blues All Shook Up set 2- Standing In Line(1986) Gee(1959)/You're the Limit(1961)/Come A Little Bit CLoser(1963) Hangin Five(1963) Get A Little Dirt On Your Hands(1962) She's My Baby Shout Blue Moon Bend Me Shape Me Sixteen Tons The Lion Sleeps Tonight Earth Angel Let There Be Drums Papa Oom Mow Mow Get A Job What I'd Say Rock n Roll Music/Johnny Be Goode/Runaway/Chantilly Lace/Da Do Ron ROn/Return To Sender/Runaround Sue/Rockin Robin/Barbara Ann/Shake Rattle and Roll
