After All These Years Our Story Foster and Allen

After All These Years is the joint autobiography of legendary Irish singing duo Foster and Allen. In this book both Mick Foster and Tony Allen talk about their growing up in Ireland in the 50's and 60's, the days of horse drawn ploughs, tiny village schools, thatched roofs and candlelit cottages as well as ceilidh dances and fleadhs that influenced Mick and Tony, joined forces in 1975 which they began playing local music circuits around Ireland and the UK, began recording in 1976 which their first single was The Rambles Of Spring but did not get a chart hit until A Bunch Of Thyme in 1979 which was number 1 in Ireland but was not a hit in the UK until 1982 when it went to number 18, having other successful hits including Maggie, After All These Years, Old Flames etc and many others. It is a excellent book with great stories which it's entertaining and a great book to read. Foster and Allen are still recording and touring which they toured Australia back in may and June and they are still going strong since they started 38 years ago which they have achieve over 19 million sales. This book is a must for Irish music fans as well as fans of Foster and Allen fans which I am giving this 4 stars as it's in the shops so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
