Linda Ronstadt Simple Dreams A Musical Memoir
Simple Dreams A Musical Memoir is the autobiography of legendary American singer Linda Ronstadt. In this book she talks about her upbringing in Tucson Arizona, her childhood having been filled with everything from Gilbert and Sullivan to Mexican folk music to jazz and opera, began performing with her siblings for anyone who would listen, moved to Los Angeles in the mid-60's, had success with the Stone Poneys with the hit Different Drum, going to a solo career which she would have great success in the 70's, having the band who would become the Eagles, working with people like Dolly Parton,Emmylou Harris, Aaron Neville, Neil Young etc, going into Broadway and Theater and and many others. It is a excellent and a BRILLIANT book with great stories told by Linda and I enjoyed it very much. It is sad to hear that she is not well as she has got Parkinson's Disease but there is great news that she is nominated for a induction into the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame for 2014 which I hope she gets inducted and she should be in there. This book is a must for any Linda Ronstadt fans as well as fans of the 70's and I am giving this 4 and a half stars which it's in the shops now.
